White House Determined to Pass Aid for Ukraine Through Congress

The national security advisor said there is no “plan B.”

National security advisor Jake Sullivan emphasized the White House’s dedication to passing additional aid for Ukraine through Congress, stating this week that there is no “plan B” in case the passage fails.

“We believe we still can and will deliver aid for Ukraine,” Advisor Sullivan said during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

Secretary-General Stoltenberg added that it was vital that the U.S. Congress agrees on continued support for Ukraine in the near future, adding NATO did not see “any imminent threat against any NATO ally.”

“We must sustain our support and that is a responsibility for all allies,” Secretary-General Stoltenberg said.

Additional aid for Ukraine is being included in a border policy package currently being negotiated in Congress. However, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson has expressed doubt in the validity of the package, and others in the House majority have voiced dissatisfaction with the attachment of Ukraine aid to border policies.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for legislators as they negotiate border security funding and aid to foreign nations.
  • For the president and administration advisors as they continue to promote aid to Ukraine.
